Ways to Work Together

Human Current™ engagements are structured, reflective, and designed around the real work your team exists to do.

This is not generic team building. It is applied relational insight — rooted in your mission, your goals, and the outcomes you care about.

Every engagement includes individual pre-reflection, so the work in the room is grounded in lived experience rather than surface conversation.

The difference between tiers is depth, integration, and output.

Human Current Orientation

A focused, facilitated experience that helps your team understand how you uniquely operate and how that influences the work you are trying to move forward.

This tier is ideal when you want:

  • Clearer alignment before planning or decision-making

  • Shared language around how you function as a group

  • Insight that strengthens execution and collaboration

  • A strong, well-held session without a full-depth engagement

Includes

Individual Pre-Reflection

  • 30 to 45 minutes per participant

  • Designed around your team’s current goals

Half-Day Facilitated Workshop (4 Hours)

  • Structured conversation grounded in your real work

  • Synthesis of strengths, patterns, and collective tendencies

  • Translation of insight into practical awareness

Individual Human Current Snapshot

  • A concise written reflection for each participant

  • Highlights how they contribute to your team’s rhythm and outcomes

This tier emphasizes clarity and translation. Teams leave with a stronger understanding of how they work and how to move forward with steadiness and intention.

Half-Day | Up to 15 Participants | $7,000

Human Current Deep Insight

A comprehensive engagement designed to deepen recognition individually and collectively and integrate that understanding into your team’s long-term direction.

This tier is ideal when you want:

  • Deeper understanding of how lived experience shapes leadership and collaboration

  • Expanded awareness that strengthens trust and decision-making

  • Durable insight that supports mission, governance, and strategy

  • Language that continues guiding your work beyond the session

Includes

Extended Individual Pre-Reflection

  • 1.5 to 2 hours per participant

  • Structured around your organizational context and goals

Comprehensive Individual Reflection

  • A detailed written reflection for each participant

  • Articulates how they think, contribute, and engage within your team environment

Group Human Current Synthesis

  • A shared, non-hierarchical view of collective capacities

  • Clarifies how meaning, communication, creativity, and connection move through the group

  • Applies insight directly to your strategic priorities

Full-Day Facilitated Workshop (8 Hours)

Strategic & Organizational Insight Work

In addition to team development experiences, Lorrie works with organizations to surface the human insight shaping how their work moves forward.

Drawing on qualitative listening, pattern recognition, and human-centered analysis, this work helps leaders better understand the forces influencing how their organization thinks, communicates, and makes decisions — both internally and in how it engages with the world around it.

The goal is not simply reflection, but clarity: helping organizations recognize what is shaping their work so they can move forward with greater coherence, alignment, and impact.

This may include

Qualitative interviews and group insight synthesis
Surfacing patterns in how employees, teams, or stakeholders experience the work.

Mission, vision, and values exploration
Facilitating conversations that help organizations articulate what truly guides their work.

Human-centered marketing and messaging insight
Helping organizations understand how their work is experienced by the people they serve and translating that understanding into clearer communication.

Leadership advisory or fractional reflection support
Periodic conversations with leaders navigating complex organizational dynamics.

Organizational listening during growth or transition
Helping teams surface what is working, what is unclear, and what may be quietly affecting momentum.

These engagements are shaped collaboratively depending on the organization’s needs.

A Qualitative, Human-Centered Approach

Human Current work is intentionally qualitative and responsive.

Humans aren’t static.
Teams aren’t fixed.
Context matters.

Every engagement is shaped by:

  • who your people are

  • where your team or organization is right now

  • what you’re navigating together

  • what you’re reaching for next

This may include:

  • • upcoming deadlines or launches
    • organizational change or growth
    • tension or misalignment
    • new leadership or evolving roles
    • clarifying mission, vision, or direction
    • understanding how your work is experienced by the people you serve

Rather than forcing people into predefined models, the work leaves room for nuance — honoring complexity while still creating clarity.

The aim isn’t to standardize humans.

It’s to meet people where they are, understand the conditions shaping their work, and help teams and organizations move forward with greater clarity and intention.

Teambuilding retreats in Midcoast Maine

Sometimes the best way to flow forward is to step outside the office. A change of scenery clears the noise, sparks fresh thinking, and helps people see one another in a new light.

The Human Current offers half-day and full-day team retreats in partnership with Midcoast Creative Studio — in Wiscasset Maine. The space is warm, comfortable, and designed to inspire, with room for groups of up to 15. It’s an oasis just far enough away to feel different, yet central to Portland, Bath, Brunswick, and beyond.

Your team will spend the day in a setting that blends focus and ease. Together, we’ll do the important work—surfacing insights, aligning on priorities, and building clarity—while also making space to enjoy what makes Maine special. Retreat packages can include the state’s best lobster rolls for lunch, local breweries or oyster shacks to explore after, and time to connect as a team outside the structure of the day.

This isn’t about escaping work—it’s about creating a space where people can see clearly, connect deeply, and return re-energized.

To support a productive and memorable day, a range of optional add-ons can be coordinated in advance, including:

  • breakfast pastries from local Wiscasset shops

  • lunch orders from nearby restaurants

  • refreshments throughout the day

  • take-home team gifts that reflect the time spent together

These elements are optional and designed to support the work — not distract from it.
