Ways to Work Together

All Human Current facilitation is intentional and reflective.

Every engagement includes individual pre-reflection, so the work in the room is grounded in real insight — not first impressions, performative sharing, or surface conversation.

The difference between tiers is depth, synthesis, and output.

Tier 1 — Human Current Orientation

A focused, facilitated workshop designed to help teams surface shared understanding and orient around what’s happening now.

This tier is best when a team wants:

  • clarity without over-engineering

  • skilled facilitation and synthesis

  • a strong, well-held session without a full Human Current engagement

Includes:

  • Individual pre-reflection
    • 30–45 minutes per participant
    • Completed prior to the session

  • Facilitated half-day workshop
    • Guided discussion and real-time synthesis
    • Clear framing of themes, tensions, and strengths

  • Individual Human Current Snapshot
    • A brief written reflection for each participant
    • A distilled view of how they tend to show up at work

This tier emphasizes collective clarity and orientation — helping teams see themselves more clearly and move forward with intention.

Half-Day (4 Hours) | Up to 15 Participants | $6,000

Tier 2 — Human Current Deep Insight

A deeper, fully led Human Current engagement designed to help teams understand why patterns exist — not just name them.

This tier is best when a team wants:

  • deeper individual recognition

  • insight into how lived experience and adaptation shape dynamics

  • a durable understanding that supports long-term decision-making

Includes:

  • Individual pre-reflection
    • 1.5–2 hours per participant
    • Completed over ~4 weeks, self-paced

  • Individual Human Current Reflection
    • A comprehensive written reflection for each participant
    • Articulates how they tend to operate at work and how that interacts with others

  • Group Human Current Synthesis
    • A shared, non-hierarchical view of collective dynamics
    • Highlights patterns shaping how work, trust, and communication move through the team

  • Full-day facilitated workshop
    • Deep synthesis of individual and group insight
    • Skilled holding of difference, complexity, and meaning

This tier emphasizes individual recognition and collective understanding — creating clarity teams don’t have to recover from later.

Full-Day (8 Hours) | Up to 15 Participants | $10,000

A Qualitative, Human-Centered Approach

Human Current work is intentionally qualitative and responsive.

Humans aren’t static.
Teams aren’t fixed.
Context matters.

Every engagement is shaped by:

  • who your people are

  • where your team is right now

  • what you’re navigating together

  • what you’re reaching for next

This may include:

  • upcoming deadlines or launches

  • organizational change or growth

  • tension or misalignment

  • new leadership or evolving roles

Rather than forcing people into predefined models, the work leaves room for nuance — honoring complexity while still creating clarity.

The aim isn’t to standardize humans.
It’s to meet them where they are and help them move forward with intention.

Teambuilding retreats in Midcoast Maine

Sometimes the best way to flow forward is to step outside the office. A change of scenery clears the noise, sparks fresh thinking, and helps people see one another in a new light.

The Human Current offers half-day and full-day team retreats in partnership with Midcoast Creative Studio — in Wiscasset Maine. The space is warm, comfortable, and designed to inspire, with room for groups of up to 15. It’s an oasis just far enough away to feel different, yet central to Portland, Bath, Brunswick, and beyond.

Your team will spend the day in a setting that blends focus and ease. Together, we’ll do the important work—surfacing insights, aligning on priorities, and building clarity—while also making space to enjoy what makes Maine special. Retreat packages can include the state’s best lobster rolls for lunch, local breweries or oyster shacks to explore after, and time to connect as a team outside the structure of the day.

This isn’t about escaping work—it’s about creating a space where people can see clearly, connect deeply, and return re-energized.

To support a productive and memorable day, a range of optional add-ons can be coordinated in advance, including:

  • breakfast pastries from local Wiscasset shops

  • lunch orders from nearby restaurants

  • refreshments throughout the day

  • take-home team gifts that reflect the time spent together

These elements are optional and designed to support the work — not distract from it.
