Human-Centered Organizational Insight & Team Development

The Human Current™ facilitates structured team development experiences that bring visibility to how people think, communicate, and relate — so teams can move forward with greater clarity, trust, and alignment.

Not an assessment.
Not a personality framework.
Not a generic training.

Why This Work Exists

Most organizations already invest in:

  • people holding back

  • misunderstandings that linger

  • unnecessary tension and over-functioning

  • decisions that look aligned on paper but unravel in practice

  • surveys

  • assessments

  • leadership frameworks

  • communication training

  • listening sessions

And still experience:

Many systems lack a way to see how humans are actually experiencing the work — and how those experiences quietly shape trust, participation, and momentum.

The Human Current exists to make that visible — without blame, hierarchy, or reduction.

What Makes This Different

The Human Current helps people recognize themselves — and understand how their way of being meets the work, the team, and the moment they’re in.

Most facilitators & development tools try to explain who people are.

  • reveals patterns without ranking

  • names conditions instead of judging behavior

  • honors individuality while making shared dynamics visible

  • creates clarity without turning humans into problems to fix

Instead of labeling people, this work:

People don’t leave with a label.

They leave with shared understanding — and movement without force.

Who This is For

The Human Current supports groups of people responsible for meaningful work together — whether you are shaping strategy, building teams, communicating your work, or moving important initiatives forward.

This includes:

  • Nonprofit boards

  • Leadership and executive teams

  • Department teams (Marketing, HR, Training)

  • Cross-functional teams

  • Project teams

  • Founder-led organizations

  • Growing small teams

And is especially useful for:

  • At the start of a new initiative

  • During annual or mid-year planning

  • Before or after a board retreat

  • During leadership transition

  • In periods of growth or change

  • When collaboration feels harder than it should

Founder & Facilitator

The Human Current™ was founded and is facilitated by Lorrie Cardwell-Panfil, a human-centered team development facilitator who designs structured experiences that help groups see how they work — individually and together.

Drawing from years of qualitative insight work and deep pattern recognition across individuals, teams, and organizations, Lorrie helps groups surface what is often felt but rarely named — so clarity can replace friction and shared understanding can move work forward.

Ways to Work Together

Engagements most often takes the form of facilitated team experiences, but may also include deeper organizational insight work depending on what a group is navigating.

• Half-day workshops or retreats for orientation and clarity
• Full-day engagements for deeper insight
Strategic or qualitative organizational insight work, this may include qualitative listening across teams or stakeholders, leadership reflection and advisory support, mission or values exploration, and human-centered insight that informs how organizations communicate their work and purpose.

In a world obsessed with categorizing humans,

let humans speak for themselves.

We believe every human has a current.
